Is there a dress code?

We ask that you wear semi-formal attire such as a cocktail-length dress for women and a suit and tie for men.  If you want to match our colors and theme, you’re welcome to wear earthy greens, tan, black, pinks, oranges, florals, etc., but it is not required!

Will the wedding be indoors or outdoors?

The ceremony will take place outside under the large tree on the venue’s property, cocktail hour will be located outside under the back porch, and the reception will take place inside with dancing to follow back outside under the porch.  This is all weather permitting and subject to change!

Are kids invited?

We love your kiddos, but this event and venue is adults only.  We ask that you please leave your littles at home for the evening!

Can I bring a plus one?

When you go to RSVP, it should indicate if there is a plus one attached to your invitation.  If your invitation was addressed to you and a guest and you don’t see that indicated when you go to RSVP, please reach out to Johnny or Kara and we will look into it!

We are at a high guest count for our venue’s ideal capacity, so there is a chance we will not be able to accommodate an extra guest for every scenario.

How do I get to and from venue?

Little Lights on the Lane is located at 2 Ember Lane in West Branch, IA.  There will be Uber voucher codes provided to get you from your hotel to the venue, and a shuttle service will be going to and from the venue every hour beginning at 9 p.m. to bring guests back to our two hotel blocks.

If you are driving yourself, please note that starting in June of 2024, highway exit 254 to West Branch (westbound from I-80) will be closed. All guests must take the Herbert Hoover exit.

How do I use an Uber voucher code?

To use our Uber voucher for your ride to the venue, open your uber app, click on account, click on wallet, scroll down and select add voucher code, and then input our voucher code: rwOzer6gyBe. You can also click this link to automatically add the voucher to your account.

Is there parking at the venue?

Yes, there is a parking lot located directly outside of the venue.  If you are planning on driving yourself to the venue, please note that cars left at the lot overnight must be removed by 9 a.m. the following morning.

What time does everything start?

Our ceremony will begin at 4:00 p.m. with cocktail hour immediately following, then into the reception.  We ask that you please begin arriving to the venue 30 minutes before the ceremony starts so that we can keep things on schedule!  Please note the highway exit closure listed above and make sure to account for extra travel time due to construction.

Can we take photos at the ceremony?

No. We have hired professionals to film and photograph these special moments during the ceremony, so we ask that you please keep your devices tucked away during this portion of the day, especially during the processional where the groom, parents, bridal party, and bride are walking down the aisle.  We are happy to share the professional photos and videos with you after the event so that you can remain present with us in the moment.  You are more than welcome to take photos and videos during all other parts of the evening (Johnny has some killer dance moves waiting for you all)!

What time will the event conclude?

Music at the venue is required to be off at 11 p.m. with all guests gone by 12 a.m.  We will be heading downtown following the event and would love for you to join us!
